A wide-ranging business background will help you excel in this position and you will become a key voice who is relied on by the senior management teams within the business units for counsel on identifying opportunities to increase profits, problem-solving and entering new markets. Your comprehensive knowledge and business acumen have prepared you for a leadership role that could range over the following responsibilities:

- Assessing operational performance and developing initiatives to grow or improve the business.

- Initiating change management when improvements are needed to increase productivity and revenue growth within the supply chain.

- Providing advice and support to technical and manufacturing operations to facilitate process and quality improvement.

- Financial analysis and modeling that supports investment decisions (cost or margin analysis and benchmarking)

An exceptional communicator, you are capable of building relationships with operating managers to coordinate business improvement. Leading by example, you have the ability to articulate vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates employees and focuses their energy on achieving business goals.

To succeed in this challenging position you may have an accounting designation and/or an MBA, along with previous experience as a leader in a variety of industry sectors. Familiarity with work environments that rely on systems and technology is essential, as are financial and analytical skills. Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certifications are considered assets.
