PRICING MANAGER
Location: 
Saint John, NB
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing strategic pricing programs to deliver profitable growth through pricing, the Pricing Manager will lead the development and implementation of internal pricing strategies, including pricing analytics, pricing optimization, customer segmentation and pricing maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of pricing programs to maximize profitability across all customer bases
• Lead the development of comprehensive strategic plans for pricing, pricing optimization, customer segmentation and margin improvement and profitability
• Develop meaningful market analytics that foster strategic thinking regarding the most significant sales and margin growth opportunities relative to industry and competitive trends
• Demonstrate the ability to convert pricing theory and strategy into strong business plans
• Engage service management leaders on assessing service portfolio and setting price
• Consult service management teams on new service pricing and service price positioning
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and service management teams on pricing related initiatives
• Direct the development of fiscal and quarterly period pricing plans that provide proactive organizational visibility to key pricing decisions and initiatives
• Create and implement pricing analyses for senior leadership review and pricing strategy evolution
• Drive continuous improvement in the price management structure

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in pricing required
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience required
• Strong pricing acumen with ability to make a significant contribution to performance and profitability, required
• Strong finance/economic background with an exceptional understanding of sales and marketing needs required
• Knowledge of financial modeling, pricing analytics and optimization; margin profitability; skills demonstrated in pricing strategy and modeling
• Strong strategic thinking and execution skills
• Proven track record of developing and promoting talent and building effective teams; inspiring and motivating direct reports and colleagues to achieve superior results
• Experience managing complex, integrated projects across multiple disciplines and various levels within and outside of the organization preferred
• Experience with large, organizations preferred – demonstrated ability to work with teams within and outside of direct control is a must
• Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner
• Effective communication style at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills; a willingness to share information; and a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with all levels of management and build partnerships and direct teams
• Familiarity with pricing tools and analytics
• Proficient with PC including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Travel 10-20%, depending on business requirements and home location


Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or similar discipline is required; an advanced degree (MBA) is preferred
