Manager, Environmental Operations
New Annan, PEI

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership and operations of an established gas company as well as overseeing a state of the art Bio Gas Plant and Waste Water Treatment operation in New Annan, PEI.

Successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Experience with Bio Gas Plant operations;
Bachelor of Engineering, Business Administration or Environmental Science Degree and/or experience;
5-10 years of relevant work experience in an operations role;
Demonstrated leadership experience;
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities;
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
Experience with natural gas or compressed gas considered an asset;
PEI Waste Water Treatment Plant Operations Accreditation would be considered an asset;
Must be an excellent communicator and be comfortable presenting to and communicating with executives at the very highest level of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for safe and reliable operation and maintenance of CNG fill station and decompression station;
Responsible for safe and reliable operation and maintenance of CNG Tractors and CNG Tube trailers;
Provide guidance and mentoring to Island Gas, Bio Gas and Waste Water Treatment Plant Operations;
Emergency Response Plans;
Island Gas Standard Operating Procedures;
Overall management of the CNG operation;
Monitor the operation of both the fill and decompression stations and modify the operation to maximize efficiency;
Submit annual budget and approve operating expenditures within approved budget;
Responsible for liaison with contractors to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance;
Continuously look for opportunities to expand the business and, if appropriate, submit business analysis to support expansion;
Continuously improve plant operation and efficiency;
Oversee operation of Waste Water Treatment Plant;
Drive the Safety agenda across all operations.
